Ensuring Safety Ahead of the Storm at The Field of Remembrance
Tarek Clearing The Way
At TKM, we take immense pride in making our local community a safer and more enjoyable place for everyone. Today, we were hard at work at The Field of Remembrance in Windlesham, preparing the woodland area for the severe weather forecasted in the coming days. With Storm Eowyn threatening to bring winds of up to 100mph and a ‘danger to life’ warning issued, ensuring the safety of this cherished local park has never been more important.
What We Did
Our team of expert tree surgeons tackled a significant task: reducing dead wood from ten different trees throughout the woodland area. Dead wood can become hazardous during storms, posing a serious risk to those who frequent the park, such as families and dog walkers. By carefully identifying and removing vulnerable branches, we’ve worked to reduce the likelihood of falling debris during the high winds that are expected to batter the UK.

Storms like Eowyn serve as a stark reminder of nature’s power, but they also highlight the importance of preparation. At TKM, we’re committed to safeguarding not just trees, but the people who live, walk, and play around them. Our professional tree surgery services are designed to preserve the beauty of our local woodlands while prioritising public safety.
As the storm approaches, we encourage everyone in the Windlesham community to stay vigilant and avoid woodland areas during high winds.
